How do I get the best out of my HDMI configuration?
-
Use Cat-6 cable
-
Use Cat-6 RJ-45 push through connectors and strain relief
-
Make sure the 2 Cat-6 cables in each pair are terminated to exactly the same length
-
Keep your Cat-6 cable runs to the shortest distance possible
-
Use high quality HDMI interconnect cables – if possible use 340MHz HDMI interconnect cables
-
Use shielded cables only for short runs, shielding will attenuate the signal
-
Treat all cable in a gentle way - don’t pinch, knot, kink, couple, untwist, staple, splice, dent or stretch the Cat-6 wire. Use large bend radiuses - minimum 1.25 inches.
