How does AudioControl have a balanced audio signal with just one (1) RCA connector on their products?
A true balanced audio signal only requires two (2) wires: The positive audio and the negative audio. Professional audio wiring adds a third wire for shielding on the extremely long cable lengths used. Since audio cable lengths in an autosound installation are very short (typically 10' or less), this third shield wire is unnecessary. On AudioControl units with balanced audio, the outer ring of the RCA connector is the negative audio and the inner pin of the RCA is the positive audio.
